ElectraBrassPop artist AANI crafts a sanctuary through sound.

The NYC born-and-raised vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer‘s soulful, original, independent Pop music draws on their background in the lineages of Klezmer and Balkan Brass. Simultaneously familiar and refreshing, rooted and inventive, their music has garnered comparisons to artists like Remi Wolf, Moses Sumney, Rostam, Chappell Roan, Trombone Shorty and Ravyn Lenae. With soaring vocals, rich production and dazzling live horns, AANI’s music is both cleansing and powerful as a river. AANI’s long-awaited upcoming album “Fresh Air | Neshome” (Out 5/15/25) is a shimmering celebration of collective liberation, life-breath, mysticism, queer love and human interconnectedness amidst the age of pandemic, grief, social media, individualism and rising fascism.

In addition to being the force behind AANI, Aaron “Aani” Kisslinger is the bandleader of Novi Hitovi Brass Band and Dancing Divas Brass Band, and a member of Queer/Trans Salsa band Las Mariquitas, Zlatne Uste Balkan Brass Band, Stoop Kidz Brass Band, EMEFE, and Git Azoy Klezmer Collective.
